Plane Jane Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes about 100 cookies
Double for 200


Ingredients

  • 2 cups (4 sticks) of butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups of dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 4 cups of all-purpose white flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 12 ounces of chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees..
  2. Beat together the butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl and add it to the butter mixture. Mix thoroughly by hard. Stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop heaping teaspoons of dough onto the baking sheet about 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake for about 10 minutes or until the cookies are golden. Pay attention not to let the bottom of the cookies burn. Cool for 1 minute before removing onto a wired rack.
